This painting was inspired by a visit to Florence, Italy. The emotional power of Michelangelo’s “unfinished sculptures” provides a special look at his creative mind. Half marble block, half human figure — the incompleteness reveals the cherished part of the process. I see a necessary step in what we can accomplish. Trust the process.
